Have been thinking about replacing my old Titleist Vokey sandwedge with a shiny (or not) new one. Have been looking at other wedges, kind of drawn to the MD Seve grind or MD Seve icon continuus bounce, although not 100% sure yet. Went to a golf shop to look at the MD wedges yesterday. Not too bad, although I'm not a fan of the Lamkin grips. However, whilst looking at the plethora of wedges available, and considering other options, I noticed that they had some Ping black nickel wedges at £59 each or 2 for £99. Seems like a good price to me.

Anyone use these wedges? Are they any good?

I have not tried the pings - I am a huge MD fan - I changed to Vokeys and miss the extra spin from th MD's

What are you looking from the wedge - Ease to hit, tour style, lots of spin, bag style, heavy/light swing weight?

I dont think there is a bad wedge out there (branded I mean - not Sports world specials) it just depends on what you want.

I've got the Ping wedges in the Brushed Silver finish and I can recommend them to anyone. They feel great, look great at address - admittedly they do look a bit agricultural from the back - but they work wonderfully. Great spin levels on chips, pitches and full shots.
