Bangladesh - Morgan and Hales choose not to tour ......

not a good sign to see Stokes not moving freely, batting sooner than ideal after bowling exploits, England going to have to be very careful with his workload

albeit pretty much down to him to give england any hope here now

fair play to Bangladesh, thats one hell of a win for them. Pretty spineless stuff from England though thats for sure and not gonna get any easier in India!

stunning start to test cricket for mehedi too!

Indeed. Although the assumption that it'll be much harder against India is doing a disservice to Bangladesh's attack. They have performed well in helpful conditions. They were gonna get there eventually, particularly as most countries outside of Asia seem clueless against spin. Would be interesting to see how Australia and SA get on in similar conditions.

I did the same as Piece, couldn't believe it. All a bit worrying. India won't be afraid that's for sure.

I know Boycott is sceptical of test teams now in that the players are not versatile enough to win away from home, also helped by preparing wickets to suit. The last few years has emphasised this for all teams. Today is just another example.

Boycott is just a whinger who only keeps his roles as he is controversial. He is well out of touch with the modern game, continually pontificates about his day and is not a good pundit.

Its not as if teams in his day regularly went to the subcontinent and won all the time. For the last 40 years India and Pakistan have been tough places to tour. So has Sri Lanka in the last couple of decades. This could well be Bangladesh joining the rest. Wait until Australia and South Africa tour there (if they ever do) and see how they get on.

I know Boycott likes the sound of his own voices etc but his point is sound. India win at home, lose away. Same with Pakistan. We beat Australia at home, they beat us in Australia. It has all become a little predictable.

And yet England won in SA last winter and won in India the last time they toured there. Home teams win home series more often than not but that's what home advantage is.

Most test teams are going through a transition period. There is not one dominant team. So home advantage will be even more crucial.

Terrible collapse but Bangladesh bowled superbly. England simply didn't play spin well and that doesn't bode well for India. I don't think the conditions there will help and I fear for England's fortunes. The batsmen look badly out of touch
