Bands/Artists that you should like.... But don't!

Radiohead and Elbow in the main...

Just don't get them - obviously most of the rest of the World does.......

Adele too....I find her songs very ordinary.

Two of my favourite bands I am afraid. Liked them both from their first singles and will probably like them forever. As for Adele then the music is not for me, but I heartily approve of her as a person she is a breath of fresh air.

Eric Clapton, much too smooth for me.
Status Quo, pop rock
U2, send me to sleep
The Stones, just the sight of Mick Jagger puts me off.
Oasis, now who do they sound like.:mmm:

The Smiths and Morrissey all because i can't stand Morrissey!

The thing is i don't think the songs are bad it's just Morrissey himself i hate with a passion.

Oasis, followed by Oasis and in 3rd place Oasis...

Never got U2 or the Stones.

And as someone said earlier, bands like Genesis, who I loved in the 70's, totally lost their way when they tried to 'modernise' themselves.

Coldplay? w.t.h. Can't do them at all.

I can take or leave the Stones, and mostly leave the Beatles. I feel I should enjoy Springsteen and Dire Straights, but I can't.

I have met Steve Winwood more than once (and Eric Clapton) and both of them I admire greatly and enjoy live more than on CD/MP3.

Interestingly, I met KK Downing (Judas Priest) on Thursday at his home and golf course. I am going to go back at some point to play him some serious classical music. Maybe we can Jam if he lets me plug my Strad' into a few effects pedals and marshall amps!

I like most music t.b.h. just not much of the fake-veneer modern stuff.

The songs were good and Johnny Marr is a legend. Never dug Morrissey much, I agree......

Pink Floyd, The Stone Roses, Arcade Fire, Rage against the machine, Coldplay, Muse, Kings of Leon, Eminem, Alt-J, Chesney Hawkes.

Damon Albarn - him of that radio thing.... terrible.

I kind of liked Blur - "Modern life is Rubbish" not bad.....

Totally agree with this. Met Blur in a nightclub in Leicester before they made it big with Parklife (this was in the 'Girls and Boys' days). Damon Albarn was a Total pillock and wanted to fight people who dared criticise their music. Cannot get Gorrilaz either. The radio edits of their singles are OK but the album versions are awful (Client Eastwood I am looking at you). Pity because I really like the Jamie Hewlitt artwork

Bands I should like but can't get into at all

Kasabian
Muse
RHCP

I don't see the fuss about Coldplay, their single tracks are decent but their albums are full of wrist slitting nonsense. U2's old stuff pre Joshua Tree was good.
