Just asking for your opinion on the following;

Today I went out for a round with a work colleague, and thanks to Mungoscorner, scored 40 points with 3 blobs and a NR.

Does that make me a Bandit?

Hopefully I can take this forward to competitions and get another cut.

In a medal it probably would have been an Nr.

At a guess a blob s a score that gets ya no points .. ie 8 on a par 4 but an 8 on the card .. nr is a hole not finished , ie no score entered , realisticly no difference but hey im trying to solve it for you

What's the difference between a blob and NR in a Stableford?

As above, I was hoping to complete the round so I could beat my personal best. Shot +7 gross on the front nine so counted every shot even on blobs, nr'd on the 16th because after the tee shot I played the wrong ball. Tee shot down the middle of the fairway, or so I thought, played my next shot then when on the green marked the ball put it in my pocket, went to replace the ball and the one I had played onto the green wasn't mine, turned out the tee shot had hit a tree and gone sidewards, found it going down the 17th.

Mungo gave me a quick lesson on ball position, and it's obviously working

Does that make you a bandit? No of course not, you were only 4 points over parity with 4 non scoring holes. Had your sombrero not slipped over your eyes and your colt 45's not gone off i'm sure you would not have played so well.

Yes it does, join the club. Just kidding; you can only claim full bandit status when you actually win something, so when you do, then you can join my club

Would that not just be a two stroke penalty (or loss of hole in matchplay) though, and no need to NR?

I was just about to get the sombrero out today after shooting 38points from a reduced handicap of 19, only to find out it was only good enough for third place in the weekly 'fiddle'. Down to 18 next week.
