Great pics Kevin.
I still cant believe this Club and 2 course complex hasn't gotten higher rankings in the top 100 to be honest. Every time we have played there we have come away smiling (sometimes drink induced granted, but still smiling!). The Old Course, supposedly tighter etc, I found the easier to navigate round. The Glashedy with the wider fairways is still far from easy and the extra distance makes it a simply superb test with views out over the bay/Atlantic Ocean that are fantastic.
The whole area is a golfing Mecca though, Coming across from Royal Portrush, Rathmore, Castlerock, Portsalon, Dunfanaghy, Rosapenna complex, Ballyliffin etc. You could go to the North West of Ulster for a fortnight and play a different course each day worthy of any players abilities.

Great photos Kevin

Two top, top courses with fantastic facilities and as Brendy says should rate higher in the rankings.

That elevated Par3 (7th?) on Glashedy is a superb hole ..

Like Brendy i preferred the Old Course , im no fan of Links golf but the weather was only perfect the twice i played there ,

the courses , the scenery , the welcome & the food @both the clubhouse & the hotel in town were superb ..

Best of luck with the membership Steve , only membership card i realy want from up there is the diving club up :D:D

Fond memories of good golf & good company , hard beaten

Aye Steve, looking forward to joining and playing both courses week in week out.

We must get a game again sometime when you over, I know you have a Donegal trip planned already so give us a shout.

Are you still in touch with Euan? Haven't spoke to him in a while but hoping to get over again this year so maybe get a game at your place this time.

Cracking courses ,i prefer the Glashedy i don't no why to be honest. Not sure dates for coming over no one wants to commit which is a pain. Spoke to Euan last week he's doing good. Next time your over give a me shout and hopefully get a game sorted.

Always preferred the Glashedy as well Steve for some reason but I am finding that the more I play the Old Course the more I enjoy it and am really looking forward to having them both regularly at my disposal in the coming years.

Had a week's golf starting at Carne and worked our way up and round the coast to finish with a round on both Ballyliffin courses. Absolutely fantastic golf country and people bent over backwards to make us feel welcome.

Very highly recommended area for a holiday, it should be on everyone's bucket list

Thanks for the compliments. I got a good day... and a couple of showers always brings a little clarity to the sky. Gotta say, I prefer the Old course. Not by much, but I found some of the holes on Glashedy a touch repetitive. But yes, some of the rankings seem to leave the Ballyliffin courses down the order. Golf Monthly has the Glashedy at 73rd (13th of the Irish courses) in the top 100, but the Old only makes the back-up list.

Great pics Kevin.

Havent had a chance to look yet as my work's server wont go onto Flickr but will do this evening.

However, i did buy your book Driving the Green and read it recently Kevin. Really enjoyed it and i'm sure i'll read it again at some point!

I had a big night in Ballyliffin, that's for sure... although not as big as my extremely annoying 'friend'.

superb two stunning courses. They look miles better than most of the courses in the top 50! Must be a reason why they are not higher.

This is not the 1st stunning course I have seen posted in Ireland really need to plan a trip over there :)
