Ball markers.

So a pp putts up fairly close and elects to mark - and marks with a poker chip. One - it is not similar to small coin - and two - it sits on the surface and so is proud and therefore a potential issue - and hence distracting. I'd ask him to remark his ball with something more appropriate.

Poker chips are great when nowhere near someone's line of putt, but I would hope that most people wouldn't use them close to hole of line of putt.

I like the magnetic ones on back of footjoy gloves.
Nice size, easy to find and lie flat on the green

I'd move the chip to the side, whichever you chose was best for your intended line - you can have it moved as far as you like, 2,3,7,10 putter head lengths. If you wanted me to change my marker to a different type I would politely refuse.

If you are insistent, I may ask you to swap your driver for something more appropriate, preferably something that stopped finding the middle of the fairway 50yds in front of my effort ;) :)
