Ball markers.

I have a very similar one of those Scotty dog markers but without the ring of holes. They do a range of nice unique markers.

I also got customised ones from the same guy. Very good customer service and extremely helpful.

As for the OP it's another one of those "show me in the rule book" situations.

Don't use cheap light markers that get given away on charity days. Used one when it was raining, tapped it down with my putter, and then couldn't find it. Took the brain cells some time to work out it was stuck to the bottom of the putter.:(

I like to use a pound coin. Makes me look at bit of a big spender, and anything smaller I would never find again.;)

I'll quite often be asked to "Move my bin lid"

In that case would it not stop a lot of faffing around if you used a BSTM [Bog Standard Traditional Marker]

I once used a £1 coin to mark my ball at a young junior/adult foursomes.
When waiting our turn to putt my young partner came up to me and said 'that was lucky I just found a £1 coin on the green'

Anyone else watching the golf yesterday evening notice Jamie Donaldson's putt (on his final hole) drift to the right of the hole starting to drift right a few feet short of the hole and very nearly hit the very large and prominent (not flush with putting surface) marker of his PP? Donaldson's ball would have been deflected - probably towards the hole - and slowed down if it had hit.

I just thought that this might have happened a bit odd in a significant pro competition.

da boom boom tish!

the old ones are always the best (so I tell the girls in the office:smirk:)

Magnetic smiley face on my pitch mark repairer. Always easy to find in my pocket. I hate the poker chip ones as they are ridiculously large - "is my marker in your way" - "of course" - "how far should I move it" - " oh, only about a putter length"!

Damn things drive me mad as even chipping they can be in the way and you wouldn't want to risk landing on one!

Do you really think GM would give away a freebie that wasn't an "official" way of ball marking.

Some people may find the poker chips a pain in the arse because they are so big and need moving when around the hole - however, illegal they certainly aren't ;)

 and I'm not going to read the next 6 pages.......

indeed, excellent customer service

I have a couple of markers I picked up at Lahinch last March.. They remind me that no matter how bad the weather is, the West Coast of Ireland will be 20 degrees colder... By the time I got to the back 9, I couldn't feel my hands, feet or other extremities...;)

That's them, I found them through ebay. I got 3 custom sets. Mine and one's for my brother and a friend. All custom logos. I think I remember right saying it was Stephen I was in contact with.

If you are looking for something for a society outing or stag do etc I'd contact him first.
