No , I don't mean the cracking group that sang 'Lip up Fatty' :D

But what is the worse thing in regards to bad manners/etiq that you have seen on a golf course?and how did you deal with it ?

Cheers

In my last game , the guy in my 4 ball got his iPhone out half way down the fairway. I'm not sure what he was doing with it, but because an iPhone has iTunes on it, i can pretty much be guaranteed that he intended to listen to his music on it at some point in the round, so i walked off. What more could i do. It's in the rules of golf aparently that you cant have a GPS device that allows you to listen to music ...

;)

Never got to the point of walking off through bad manners but I left the course once when a guy was blatantly cheating. I've had guys wander all over my line on putts, rattle in their bag as I'm playing, talking etc and in most cases they aren't even aware. A quick friendly word and job done. A few take telling a couple of times but some of these were newbies and so they probably didn't even know about other peoples line. Its hard enough trying to play your normal game without getting wound up by what others are doing unless it is blatantly obnoxious or rude

I had an opponent who always stood behind me on my putting line or directly on my line the other side of the hole.
I asked him to move and he replyed he was only watching the line my ball took to help his next putt as he was allowed.
I explained that what he was doing was basically cheating which he took offence at we've not played together since.
Think I was right though.

Played in a midweek medal on Tuesday, but it's a roll up event so there's also people not playing in the comp out and about.

We were a 4 and there were a couple of singles behind us. We let the first one through on the 6th green, then we were looking for a ball on the 7th fairway when the 2nd one walked on to the tee so we waved him through.

He knobs his first shot into a tree but I see it drop my side of it so when he tees up another ball I tell him it's ok as his first one is in play and easy to find.

"No, it's ok. I didn't like that one I'll hit another"

The second was sliced near us but we didn't see it as we were still looking for our ball. When he reached us, rather than dropping another to play through he searched for his so we carried on.

We have to look for another ball on the 9th, so again we wave him through. He hits his drive towards us again with no shout and it just misses one of us by about 5'.

He carries on knobbing it up the hole and when he finished it walked off. He was only playing 9 anyway.
