After last weeks personal best and plenty practice this week I went to the course high in confidence... Started triple, triple, triple, quad, double.
Nothing about my game worked today really had a shocker Shot 114 which is mega bad considering I been constant sub 100 recently.
But I had that 1shot that's makes you return next week and it was a massive chip in for my only par of the day at 18 after thinning a wedge through the green about 20yrds..
I'm hoping that's my bad round out the way as I got 3rounds at st mellion next weekend and need my A game there so I've been told.

Going for some major practice this week and hopefully was just a blip thank god for the chip in or clubs would be on eBay and I would take up needle craft haha

It happens to us all. I regularly hit low 90's but hit a 115 today and it was all down to my driver

It would have been much worse if not for my hybrid finally working and my chipping onto the green.

Must be something about the 18th as that's where I got my only par too

Snap - I scored more nett today (80) than I did gross on Wednesday (76). I did come down with a heavy cold though and felt pretty shot today after2 pretty sleepless nights.

I had a bad day too. Played a new course and it was the worst I've ever played, wasnt feeling it at all, was in a bad mood, and one of the blokes (my brother) I was playing with was doing my head in. Gave up trying by the 13th, but carried on hacking around. Hopefully having a round tomorrow, so I can hopefully get over today.

sounds familiar Chris - 80 net for me as well with a 51 back 9 - on handicap for the front but lost the plot in the heat and slow play - 4.45 hours was tooo long! Takes me to 14.5! Course was set up tough with some evil pins and pretty quick greens - my playing partner off 5 had 2 4 putts on the front 9 and an 11 on the par 3 14th!!!Apart from a mixed yesterday, but with 6 pars on the back 9 (plus a blob, double and tripple) I shot 6 over and 8 over the previous 2 weeks - why can't I do it in the medals! My handicap has only gone up in the past 3 years after getting down to 12.5. Hey ho!

28 points in the roll up yesterday. Hit the ball great on the practice ground tonight. You know, just know, it'll be back to the same old again after work tomorrow. Still better to be out and playing than at home cutting the grass

Couple of bad holes and another 0.1 for me.

3 putted the second for a 5 (par3), a 6 on out par 3 8th after I put my tee shot into the heavy rough and had to declare it unplayable. Par 4 11th, pull hooked a drive out of bounds and went on to score a nasty 8.

The other 15 holes were tidy enough with 4 pars and 11 bogeys. So getting close to playing to the new handicap.

Another comp on saturday, so just need to keep practising and it should come!
