Do many of you pracrice (or are allowed to practice) in your back garden?
Do you have any special kit to help?
I'm thinking nets, astroturf mats, putting carpets etc.
I know Region3 likes to pop out and hit a few around his back garden :) ;)

That's photo shopped Bob..........he would never miss a fairway!!!

Did some practice in the garden when I was struggling with the *coughs* a few weeks back. Opened up the zip front to my daughters trampoline and hit balls into the trampoline. The zip front flap would cushion the blow and the balls were dropping onto the trampoline for collection....lovely.....or so i thought!!

Went to retrieve the balls after 5 shots and....oops. The flap hadn't cushioned the blows, the netting had, before splitting and letting the balls through. So there were 5 little splits in the net that keeps the children inside and safe from falling out!! :o

Wife was near by and was less than impressed!! Her mood wasn't lightened when I showed her my 7 iron with the strike marks right on the button, nowhere near the hosel!! :D

Turns out I'm okay at sewing as i had to repair the holes pronto!!

I had some nets and used them once in the back garden, with a bit of carpet to act as a mat. Don't really have the room for a good clean swing though, what with bird feeders and shrubs and raised beds taking over the lawn.

When I was a kid I used airflow balls.
I could hit a sand wedge full power and it would only just reach the other end of the lawn.
Of course when it was windy my neighbours got good practice at throwing them back over the fence :p

A mate of mine has a driving range of his own.....in the attic!

Dust sheet up,bit of nicked astro turf and off he goes....he says the wife is always having to turn the sound up so she can hear Eastenders though the thwacks! :D

My house backs onto my course - rather conveniently at the 5th green, so once the kids are in bed and the wife is sat down in front of Emmerdale Enders Street or whatever reality poo is on the tv, then I pop over for some putting, chipping and bunker practice.......not that it does me much good!!

Would love to practice in the garden but suspect my wife would kill me if I started taking divtos out of the lawn.

Nice Pic of the course by the way Bob. Rough is much higher now, in certain areas you would have problems seeing region3 let alone the ball.

I put down a large plant pot and chip into it from varius points aroud the garden. Over the winter next doors fence blew down and as their landlord doesnt allow them to use the garden i now have twice the space to practice chipping.

Remember to pick up all the balls when your finished as in my experience golf balls and lawnmowers/strimmers dont mix!!

Bit of old carpet down and chipping into a upturned umbrella from between 20 and 40 yards....away from any glass!

A few thinned ones keeps me on my toes by rebounding from the end wall at a tidy rate.

Absolutely ruined mine with chipping practice. It's a mess bob an absolute mess. In an ideal world I'd have a big garden with a dedicated practice area for chipping and putting and driving net. Anyone got a few grand lying around they want to donate?

The garden isn't big enough and HID would kill me. I can just about get away with putting indoors but that is it. To be honest I'd rather hit some balls on the practice ground or a range and see what is happening rather than wildly thrash at these air balls

Yep, I live in the middle of a disused golf course ( actually somebody just bought it and has started redeveloping it ). I bet I have hit over 4000 balls into it over the last three years. I bought them cheap once the range had finished with them. No use for anything except one final shot !!!
