I have been out today, the ground was quite sodden, bit compared to my last game I was DREADFUL! I was so inconsistent. this wasnt helped by some old people hitting 10 yards at a time and wouldnt let us play through, we had to wait about 10 mins before each tee off, so not sure if this is also a factor, I just cant understand why I have been less consistent than usual. By the way Im no Tiger woods

When I was a member at Blyth, there were awkward people who held me up and made the claim "single player has no standing".
That was the rule then but is no more. You should report them.

I believe it can be a local rule depending on your commitee, most people will ask this on joining a club as at one time or another we enjoy a single round.

I think this is one of a few problems in golf. If im in a 3 ball and theres a guy on his own behind us we either let him through or invite him to join us? Theres too much snobbery in golf and it turns people off from playing the game and can effect membership. Most golf clubs are hard up as it is, they aren't helped by snobby or old people thinking they own the course.

Im sorry, rant over!!

I can hardly stand here toay never mind swing a golf club. Wild wild wild day, not a hope of golf for a while by looks of things.

I honestly cant remember a wetter year in my life.

Beaker85, I totally agree it put me off as a 15 year old and I walked away from golf until 16 years later. I know play a Municipal on a weekend and really enjoy it, none of the snobbery or pretension.
