I remember being let through as a nervous junior by a couple of old boys. Hit one so wide off the tee that no-one would have seen it let alone found it. Just stood on the tee holding the finish, then strode off down the fairway. Thanked them on the way past and then walked a long way down just in the rough and squirreled a ball out of my hand into the longer grass and played on.

They must have either thought "wow - that kid hits it miles" or "cheating little bugger - he carved that onto the road!!"
