It's now eight years .................................
To all Gooners, in Arsene do you still trust?

Looks like he played a slightly weakened team believing home advantage and the quality of his youth would be good enough, WRONG

Never understand managers who tinker when playing lower division teams, they will come and play as they have no fear.

Win the game first and THEN rest players with 30 minutes to go, don't put them on with 20 minutes left and expect them to pull you out the crapper.

What a great result to see lol.

Plenty of goals are being predicted for the Oldham Vs Everton game and some great odds such as Pienaar to score first and Everton to win 1-0 is 45/1 and Fellaini to score first and Everton to win 2-1 is 25/1, both worth a squid ;) But, will there be another upset?

Absolutely, still a great manager. If he left to manage Spurs I think I would start supporting them - thats how much respect I have for the man. What he has done for the past 16 years for the club on and off the field is hugely impressive.

With financial fair play kicking in soon, I believe it will help Arsenal to retain players and probably will start winning some cups again.

As it is I think qualifying year on year for the CL is a massive achievement.

Still the best team in the league if you take the super spenders Man U, Chelsea and City out of the picture.

Things arent that bad at all IMO.

Next up getting humped by Bayern, great, just what we need. My patience with Wenger is wearing thin. Yes, he's been fantastic for arsenal, but all good things come to an end, and I think it's on the horizon. I don't think Ffp is going to make any difference to where we are, we are heading for the same high mid table mediocrity that Liverpool currently occupy.

I beg to differ.

You've spent over 50m in the last 2 transfer seasons (100m) and the only thing that has kept the net spend down is letting your best players go to competitor teams? Fábregas, Nasri & Clichy followed by Van Persie & Song. Before that you have made good net profits by again selling your best players but not buying anything in to compete for honours IMO.

You've never been a force since Vieira left IMO as you have no teethe in the midfield and its clear by results that pretty football for the neutrals to watch doesn't win you much.

The loyalty of the fans and match day receipts is admirable but its your biggest financial contribution, that to me is dangerous though if the fans started to get restless as your commercial revenue is the lowest by a country mile, in fact, your commercial revenue only accounted for 20% of Arsenal’s total football related revenue (income)!

So if the gates fell due to not competing high enough and performances fell, which meant less broadcasting money, where does the extra revenue then come from to compete, sell more good players?

Your wage bill is still one of the highest at 2.75m a week, you may cap players and have no one on 200K a week but you've got loads on your books so the overall total is not much different to the other top 3-4 clubs above you!

There is a lot of smoke and mirrors at Arsenal IMO.

Typical headless chicken footballer is what I'd class gervinho as.

I'm surprised at all this love for wenger still. A man hasn't delivered a sniff of a trophy or top billing since he dissolved the invincible side. Do Arsenal fans really accept living off of past glory that easily and not worry that their only progress is backwards, moreover feel finishing top 4 is the best they can now be.

I'm a Blackburn fanatic and today was a fantastic day for us, and considering our glory days are behind us presently none of us stop hoping for promotion and finishing in European places in the coming years, but our budget and income is far less than arsenal.

A few years ago Arsenal had a good enough squad to be able to play the "2nd team" in the cup against lower league teams but they don't have that luxury anymore.

If i was an Arsenal fan i'd give Wenger till the end of the season, see where they finish in the league and decide if it's time for a change.
