Arsenal.

On resources surely Moyes is a better manager??

I rate Moyes highly, whether he could still do a good job with unlimited resources and big egos in the dressing room, who knows? But I like the man overall on and off the pitch.

Thing is, who would you swap him with ? There is a distinct lack of quality managers out there at the minute, im not a Gooner, but i'm not sure i'd be quick to want a change in manager.

Obviously Moyes is a great manager, I like what Laudrup has done at Swansea and Jose is looking to get out of Madrid quick smart if you believe what you read. Is there any better (and available) out there than Wenger ???

Whatever happens I'll still be supporting the Arsenal... Too long in the tooth to switch [in reality] I suppose...

As for Mr Wenger... My patience is starting to wear a little thin... My only concern is who would I be happy to replace him... No realistic options spring to mind... One or two optimistic ones perhaps but thats it...

As for 'financial fair play'... Can't see it making one iota of difference...

I do wonder if the sands of time are running out for Arsene. A big defeat next week and the season is over with only a qualifying spot for next seasons CL as the carrot. The squad seems paper thin and no depth in any position. I guess you can say that about a lot of the so called top clubs

Doesn't seem to me that Arsenal has been a major challenger on the field since they committed to the new stadium.

Made a pretty good Profit every year, I believe, though, so I think their 'Business Model' is rather 'better' than most others!

Don't think that provides much succour for fans though.

Their goal difference may be the deciding factor for playing in Europe next season, but, finishing below Spurs must be something the fans can't be happy with.

I don't think the board would move on him, they are obviously more businessmen than football fans as they have put up with no honours now for 8 years and are happy to sell their best assets, that's only good business sense and not football sense! As I have said, their biggest income is match day receipts, and fair play to them, but its a dangerous precedent especially if the rot continues and they start to fall, where do you replace that income from?

He has one year left on his contract, so he'll see it out. Not sure if I want him to renew. Ironically, he's carried arsenal through some tough financial times, and just as the money starts to roll in, it's time to go.

I hope they go for a young modern manager, laudrup would do for me. Pep would have been nice, but he's gone to Bayern, Klopp would be nice, not keen on mourinho.

Arsenals new financial deals kick in next year, and they are way better than the previous ones, which were sold cheap to sure up the stadium finances.

If i was an Arsenal fan i'd give Wenger till the end of the season, see where they finish in the league and decide if it's time for a change.

Rumour has it that Rafa Benitez could be available for next season. Interested? Thought not.

Slime.

Looks like he played a slightly weakened team believing home advantage and the quality of his youth would be good enough, WRONG

Never understand managers who tinker when playing lower division teams, they will come and play as they have no fear.

Win the game first and THEN rest players with 30 minutes to go, don't put them on with 20 minutes left and expect them to pull you out the crapper.

What a great result to see lol.

Have you forgotten who we are playing tomorrow? And who is in charge? This post could well come back to bite you on the behind!

With the possible exception of Man U , Citeh and Chelsea - every club (specifically every board) in Britain would want AW to be their next manager.

AW has given Arsenal supporters the right to believe they can win the PL, CL, FA cup, etc each year. Why is finishing top 4 not a target to be proud of? So-called big clubs that AW did not join 16 years ago have targets today of avoiding relegation from the championship, or trying to make the play offs or surviving in the PL, or surviving full stop and not going to the wall.

I can put things in perspective, things are good at Arsenal whilst AW is there.

We won the Premier League before Arsenal, Chelsea & City did I believe we have the right to always be in the premier league and challenge as well. Oh no wait former glory under Dalgleish, isn't what gives us the right to believe that just like success under Wenger doesn't provide that. What DOES give you, us and every fan of all clubs that right is the simple fact Your a fan of that club and wanting your club to be the best it can be, not who the manager is.

1972 Arsenal 0 -1 Leeds Utd

I believe his point is they once won something and that past glory is irrelevant to future glory.
