Like others i tend to keep a close eye until 0.1 is inevitable . I don't actually count as i go in medalplay but do keep a running stableford score to know where i am at any stage.

When I'm playing well I actually enjoy the feeling of pressure knowing that I can post a good score. I wouldn't say it's why I play, but it's a part of it that I like.

Absolutely bang on. Getting into contention, managing the pressure and delivering a result is the best feeling. That's the most addictive aspect of golf for me and I don't need to know my score to get into those positions. The frustrating aspect is how difficult it is to get into into that situation regularly - but it's such an intense feeling when you do it.

Golf really is a horrible drug.
