I know that the depth/shape of grooves on 'playing' clubs are defined by the rules but does this extend to putters?
Many putters have no grooves or have face inserts so I'm guessing that they may not be regulated.
Why do I want to know? I recently tried a Rife Trinidad with well cut grooves and really liked the way the ball came off the face - really smooth roll. The grooves on the face of my Rife 2-bar blade are becoming less defined and if it's legal I want to re-sharpen them.
