Im really sorry i was going to say fella's but seeing as we have a few ladies on the forum i think im going to have to start with ladies and gents...;)

Anyway.....Another round in tatters again this morning because of Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaks......Its really getting to me now.....I was flying until i hit the 7th and was 155 mtrs from the green.....Cue the 5 iron and cue the cabbage......

Thing is...Are there actually different types of shanks....I ask because my trouble shot with them might travel 70 or 80 mtrs violently right but the ball does get off the ground...Maybe only 15 or 20 feet....It usually doesnt go scuttling across the tops of daises.....

It ruined what had the making of a good round again this morning.....Also its definitely a hosel to ball problem as iv seen the mark the ball left on the driver a few times this morning close to the heel even though i managed to get away with a ball flight that started off straight up the right hand side of the fairway and faded right when i was aiming up the left hand side of the fairway with everything square.

:sbox:

Defintely a good shank that gets airborne and straight right as opposed to the horror one which is a daisy cutter straight right. Neither are great and once you've had one every swing becomes Russian rouletter as to when the next one will appear

Hard to say what it is without seeing you swing the club, but, I'd be looking at going back to basics starting with setup and ball position.

Really need a pro to have a look and see just what you're doing.

Hit the second shank of my life yesterday.

I did have thick ski-ing gloves on by that point.

Wasn't as impressive as my first up at Morecambe, that was a peach :whoo:
