Are Scotty Camerons the bees-knees or not?

Scotty Camerons are like a Placebo (An inactive substance or treatment that looks the same as, and is given the same way as, an active drug or treatment being tested), if you belive they are going to work they will.

I just love them for their sexy looks and like I always say a putter should be "sex on a stick"

Htl, this is what you have started:-

I have been stuck in the flat all afternoon due to the weather (yes thank you mother nature!)

I have been gazing lovingly at my golf bag, I thought I’ll just unzip the rain cover, let the light rebound off the polished finish of my baby MX-17s. I found myself thinking they are mighty fine looking clubs, slim, elegant, minimalistic. Oooo look at the way the head cover on my SasQuatch looks like a cobra ready to pounce. Hold on a minute – finding clubs attractive – isn’t that a little odd?

Also in one of the putter threads someone said a putter was ‘sex on a stick’…

We should create a name for people who get turned on by clubs (golf that is).. Ironsexuals? Parwoods?

I dont think they look as nice as the Mizuno Bettinardi's !! , but wouldn't buy either.

I'm on a Yes c groove Tracey II at the min and like it a lot. Just got it to replace my old ping anser, which at some point in time will probably go back in the bag

ok there are a load of clubs that look like the newport. i picked them all up but the newport felt better. I never buy new drivers i buy last seasons cos theyre half price! i havent seen a half price putter thats why i got the scotty for full price. totally justifiable. i did want a bettinardi cos i preferred the look but the scotty won me over cos it performed better/felt better to me!

I do like the look of them yes putters i must say! you watch the prices creep up!

As ive often said in previous posts i collect scottys as a bit of a hobby as well as the accessories.
I have 9 in total 7 being collectors items.
The workmanship and feel from the scottys are second to none
they may be expensive but with some care they will last a life time.Ive used a Del mar 3.5 for around 3 years and its just like i bought it and its used every time a play.
Ive just got a good deal on the new redx 5 which again is very nice and im going to give it a try when i get playing again.
A message for birdieman, i have a newport never been used.

I changed putters last year. Had decided that I was definately buying a scotty but ended up coming out with an odyssey black series, I preferred the thicker grip. (just about the same price) I think it is a super putter, would recommend to anyone. You can really 'feel' the difference using a top end putter.
Another thing that put me off is I thought a scotty was a bit like red boots, you need to be able to play to have it.

Too late , I have taken the plunge with a Newport 2.5......I am weak!
