What's great about the forum (apart from the banter!)

I did apply, and got told I'd be in the August issue, yet there was nothing

Really sorry about that Rick I'm not sure what happened as I put all the applications in a folder as they come in and remember seeing yours but it's not in the folder. If you could resend your e-mail I'll make sure you do appear in the December cover dated edition. Apologies again

Would love to help you out but currently serving an infraction so barred from all forum opportunities

They definitely should put you two in the magazine:thup:

I've designed the front cover to save Mike H and Tiger the time

Name/Forum Name : Simon Miller / simoni99

Club/Handicap : Sweetwoods Park and 12

What will be your next golf purchase (and why, this isn't just about clubs it could be anything from a GPS to a block of lessons) 23 deg Ping Hybrid. Hitting the 17 deg so consistently but want to replicate the height and soft landing at around about 4/5 iron distance

Favourite golf hole you've ever played (and why) : I managed to sneak a round in on our honeymoon at The Datai Bay Golf Club on honeymoon in Malaysia. They have a signature hole which is a 185 yard par 3 out over the sea to a wonderful green with the beautiful bay in the background (photo attached). An enticing and challenging hole and for extra difficulty, if you turn your back for too long, Malyasian monkeys will steal your clubs and balls from your bag

Goal for the year : focussing on wedge play to try and get closer to single figures, targeting 10 by year end

What's great about the forum (apart from the banter!) : I'm a newbie but within minutes of posting my first question regarding looking for a certain type of app, I had loads or replies and even an offer for someone to develop the said app for free which I am now persuing. So very friendly, helpful and responsive.
