I tried both of these yesterday, they are okay not sure what all the fuss is about though. For forged irons they don't feel as good as mizunos. I came away thinking the i25 was better it was better feeling than the apex and more forgiving. The Apex is quite forgiving but slap it off the toe and it won't go anywhere, which is pretty normal. Flight with a 6 iron with the DG. XP 95 shaft was high, probably a little too high .. The ust recoil shaft wasn't doing anything special for me.
So I have struck them off my shopping list as they really did not offer the competition to the i25s I hoped.

First tried them both at the Cally filming.... liked them both.
Went along for a more in-depth look and, in all honesty, came to the same conclusion.
They're OK, they look the business but for the money they don't perform any better than, say, the X2Hot Pro...which are £200 cheaper....

I never tried them after a few hits with the X2 hot cast clubs - I was sold on them straight away!

Why even consider changing from the I15s?

They've got you down to where you are and are certainly not out of date!

I tried the Apex Pro when I was looking to change from the G25's. Glorious off the middle but not the most forgiving of clubs and more out there that gets more out of the poor shots for you. My I25's fall firmly in that category and definitely worth a look

Tried the Apex Pros a couple weeks back with S300 shafts in them and they felt very very sweet when hit , lovely dispersion and a nice penetrating ball flight.

They are pretty good and on Par with the AP2 for me.

That's more or less what was said when I was considering a change from AP 2's to more game improver clubs with a view to trying to save a shot it two in comps. Well, my view us that the plan could just work!

How are they going ? FC picked his up during the week and has also fell in love with them

Needs to rework his distances out :D

I have two sets of Apex es at home - beautiful forged blade clubs, and even the 1972 ones with slippery grips still hit the ball beautifully.

Oops , sorry, I was talking about those beatiful forged clubs designed / made by the Ben Hogan company, before the brand was brought by Callaway and then the classic name used to stick on a (probably not unreasonable) perimeter weighted club head. :(

Just like Ford buying Aston Martin and then bringing out a Fiesta that they call the Vantage !
