Hi all,

I am in the market for a used or budget laser range finder. I am looking at the Bushnell 1600, I see there are a few different versions of this, I do not want slope so I think its Pro or Tournament Edition.

The 1600 is a few years old now, is it still a worthy piece of kit, do you love yours?

Is it worth £100-120?

Thanks for any or all info.

Alex

i think in that price bracket you could be looking at one of the hillman range finders for new, seem to be a few on here thinking that they are great value for money

Yep, I am all over that but have an issue with the money being in paypal and done want to put it into the joint/wifes shoe account so looking at other options before I do.

We could transfer your money from your Paypal to mine and I could buy it for you.

I may very well take you up on that sir.... Ill call Fragger tonight to double check how he feels about his and PM you.

I still have the Bushnell pinseeker 1500 no slope one (had it since they were first allowed), it's still great. Occasionally I can't get a flag, but you can always get something close enough to help.

I'm lost without it, and have just added a G3 for a more complete picture.

Yes though to be fair, if we had tour caddy quality yardage charts and pin sheets we wouldn't need either as the detail on those is fantastic ;)

One thing I'll say Al,
It could be down to practice, but I seem to be a lot quicker at getting a range with my V2 than Fragger is with his Hillman....

Could just be my technique's better.........

I have the 1600 Pro Tournament Edition and it is fantastic. Bought it second hand earlier this year and it is so easy to use. Not had a problem getting a flag yet and with the extra magnification (7 times) it makes it that touch easier to hit the target you want.

Hope this helps.

Hmm food for thought, about how long for you and him. I think I would get board after 8 seconds.
