It's chuffing grim up north, me ferrets are frozen solid and as for the whippet he's taken to wearing my muffler and cap!
Anyone out there missed the snow?

Was suppose to be pretty grim in the Thames Valley overnight but only had a light dusting. Even got out of bed mega early in case the car needed digging out and the trains were knackered. Now I'm just plain shattered. Allegedly that was going to be the big one in the area so I'm guessing it'll really come down tonight instead

Not too bad up here, only about a foot of snow and temp not bad its only -11 at the moment.

I think the Senrs were out as usual today as well.

:D :D :D

C'mon Homer ..... Someone dropped a bag of self raising flour in London and the place came to a standstill for 5 hours.

We are now onto our 4th day and over 12" on the ground.

I'm not arguing with you and having watched the news can see how tough its been. I agree that two flakes and the trains and buses seem incapable of running hence my trepidation with last nights forecast. I was quite surprised with the lack of snow and the face everything ran.

I was watching the news at lunchtime. There were suppose to be student riots (demonstrations) again in London. The camera panned down the road and there were about 20 of them there looking frozen solid. Made me laugh

I work in Westminster. They trudged past our office with about 10 police for each student. It was laughable. Worst demonstration ever and a massive waste of taxpayers money policing the non event

not been too bad in Worcester. A little snow but still passable, Still don't fancy mistimed bone rattler on a frozen course at the weekend though. anybody else getting withdrawal symptoms yet :D

We've got about 15" out where I stay. Parts of Embra have 10-12" and just wait 'til the wind picks up and blow this about.

At this rate my course may well have a black run from the 11th tee down to the car park.

Some of the higher courses around Embra, Lothianburn, Swanston and Torphin may not see grass again this year after the amount of snow they've had up there.

:(

I've just looked out of the window and we've got two feet!

3 inches in Essex, so A12 at a standstill, again - BBC reporters out reporting on/trying to find/create the "chaos and hardship" - suburban dwelling wimps should stay indoors.

Schools closed. Needless to say my daughters' schools weren't, so, having missed the school bus due to someone parking their car in a hedge and blocking the road from the village, took 2h 10m to drive in nose to tail traffic and long periods of not moving to get number one plus 5 others in the 10 miles to her school. Number 2 daughter travelled in by train to spend school time playing hangman and texting because of lack of teachers.

Local radio trying to wind up the populace about the local council not gritting and salting the roads - only to receive a host of calls from people across the county saying that the roads had been gritted and the problem was the idiots who didn't know how to drive in the conditions. Amen to that.

Seniors had a block booking on the course from 8:00 this morning, but it must have snowed heavier than I thought as their footprints had all been filled in by the time I got back from the school run at 10:30. :D
