Genuinely laughed out loud - brilliant!

Snow's not the problem here.
AS Homer said we had a light dusting - no more than an inch - and the main roads soon cleared.
The side roads though began to thaw out about 3-4 o'clock. Just in time for the temperature to drop like a stone and freeze over. THey're a complete nightmare now. They only grit the main roads around here so I can't see me getting any work done tomorrow morning. Had to cancel the evenings lesson too.

11 inches in Chesterfield so far and it is blowing a blizzard as we speak. No work tomorrow I suspect. Can't see this melting before the new year. Have to get the indoor putting mat out again!!

Snow?? Eh? what snow? I cycled home my 2 miles from work in a wintery shower this evening but all we have on the ground barely a dusting that is gone by 11am. Maybe some snow tomorrow or most likely on Friday when I have to drive into Southampton for an appointment...

We have gad another shitload dumped on us this morning so there will be no golf for a long while as we must have a good 10inches fallen now,Coldstream has 2 foots worth and I aint been able to get into the office since Friday....totally sick of the bloody stuff now.

We have very little, but it won't go away, so no golf this weekend.

One of my colleagues hasn't made it in (the only one). Apparently it is too icy and treacherous, despite 3 other guys pretty much driving past his house this morning. Not just that, but I know he drove his girlfriend to work for half eight, and then drove home. He is supposed to start at 8, and is office based. He phoned in at 9 to say he couldn't make it, despite having a start time of 8. He is now 'working from home'.

Sadly, he will get away with it, he always does. Teflon coated that bloke, makes my blood boil.

I don't know what you do for a living, or this bloke, so the question is can (or will) he do his job effectively from home?

I could probably make it into work, if I really, really tried, but it is just far quicker and easier to work from home.
If he is doing his job and it's not causing any harm to anyone, surely it's not that big a deal?

Nope, he is a quality engineer (note the small e).

He processes GRNs etc for our factory among other stuff. Can't do that from home. TBH, he does sod all when he is here. I think he does about 1 hour per week. I don't really care if he does zip, providing he isn't holding me or any one else up, but he does, and then wriggles out of it so you get the blame.

He can probably do about 40% of his work from home.

Bear in mind when he dropped his gf at work, that is less than 1/4 of a mile from here, and he had to drive 5 miles home. He is a lazy git.
