Walking around the supermarket yesterday I got the urge to get a golf mag but as I've recently subscribed to GM I didn't want to end up with 2 mags the same so plumped for GW. I used to read it years ago but got bored of it, however so far I've loved the read but I do think it was a bit thin and expensive based on content. Some good articles just a shame for them they can't say double the content and produce something on a par with GM but all said a nice change.

Funnily enough I was also at supermarket tonight and looked at GW but seemed thin and the articles were already in GM so plumped for Bunkered to get some local views, really need GM fortnightly now.

Yeah read it quite regulary as I pick it up off the Market for a quid! Last months obv but it fills the gap when waiting for my subscription mag to fall through the Letter box!

I reached the same conclusion as the OP. I wanted a magazine to read on holiday. Have given up on TG ever producing a decent edition so picked up Golf World but there was just not enough content to warrant me buying it. Magazines are not cheap these days so I expect a reasonable amount to read if I am going to hand over my money.

The design of the pages often leaves a lot to be desired and the font can be miniscule but they do put some good stuff in there. TG is definitely the dumbed down version and is hardly what you call in depth. GW does a job. I also have a look at Golf International (HID use to get it free when she worked at a golf club) and that is ok. Again, it trys to be a lot of things as well as a golf mag but it does have some great in depth swing tips

GW is a great mag, all golf mags die off at this time of year. Love the Poulter and Ogilvy pages every month, they are superb. I also think that the equipment reviews in GW are top notch as is the in the bag section. I'm a subscriber and enjoy it.

GM aside, I like Golf International. Dont subcribe and actually rarely buy it. Usually only when going on a longish journey.

Least favourite is Golf Punk - if you want soft porn - buy playboy!
