Anyone played Hawkstone Park recently?

Off to Hawkstone park Tuesday with a group. Enjoyed it in the past but have heard it's very wet right now. Can anyone confirm how it's playing?

Greens should be OK still but will get wet soon if this rain keeps up

Played it at the start of last month, the one without the Follies. Course was in great condition.

Played the Championship Course today... a couple of sunny days has firmed it back up, greens were well above average. Decent layout, even with a few up and down adjacent holes on the front nine.

Very enjoyable, if really slow, lots of elderly four balls

Hotel room is decent and comfortable, about to find out about the dinner.

Other course in the morning. £175 each, two rounds, dinner, b&b. Not unreasonable.

Edit: dinner exceeded expectations. Really friendly service too.

Agree, the ‘old course’ is much nicer. That one hole where the tee box is right in front of the follies is very nice. It does get wet in winter unfortunately.
