Really not sure how many times I have explained this but here goes, again... there is no 1 best driver, or putter or set of irons or wedge.
What performs best for golfer A wont perform best for golfer B... even of they have the same handicap and even swing speed
In the driver category for example it's down to getting the best model for your own personal launch characteristics that will help you achieve what you are looking to do more of be it hitting it further, narrowing your dispersion, helping getting it airborne, being able shape shots/alter trajectory
The only way you will find that out is by going through a fitting process on a variety of drivers that are suited to your launch characteristics and then also fit both your budget and your eye
In terms of our videos (call them reviews, call them gear tests, first looks, or showcases whatever you like) they set out to show new product, so to give you an in hand/at address view of what the product actually looks like, explain the key design/technology of the product and what performance benefits that might offer and suggest what type/skill level of golfer the product will best suit
We would normally be the first 'outlet' to publish a video as we usually get to see and trial the product before anyone else outside of the brand that has manufactured the product, in some cases before even some of the brand's own Tour staff.
This vid on the new Callaway V series driver is typical of what we offer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRyUUoeQh8M&list=UUHs_XdW23ArpXSfYUiscoRA&index=30
We are experimenting with video styles and have just published a vid on two of Mizuno's new irons MP15 and JPX 850s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGxitcDqYto&list=UUHs_XdW23ArpXSfYUiscoRA which is more on course style and we talk about how we test product and look at differences between models but what we don’t tell you is this model is better than this model...
Even if you look at Crossfield or Rick Sheils vid putting one driver up against another all they are showing you is which model THEY can get to perform best and that's dependent on the combo of the club's design and THEIR launch characteristics
The only categories where it’s possible to come up with 'winners' as such are trolleys and DMDs where your swing/ability as a golfer doesnt have a bearing on the performance of the product
As ever hope that shows our methodology and explains why what some folk say what they want to see, isn’t realistic to produce!
