Anyone got news on titleist 915d

Can I have first dibs on yours when you sell it mark?

I might have made a similar request but I hate sky marks on a club:whistle:

915 is firmly on my radar, buy November, practice with it all winter ready for new season...

...buy new driver from TM in March:eek:

Spoke to a friend who works at Titleist yesterday and they are currently being mass produced in the factories.

A few lucky staff already have hold of personal copies.

Not sure when its due out, however.. our AP had a free fitting at titleist last week for topping the order of merit and said it was awesome!!
Best driver out there, and the numbers on the trackman were unbelievable....

Shame as there may be a slightly sky marked one going in the GM office

Our test sample is currently being pummelled by resident bomber, Digital Editor and Cat 1 handicapper Neil, so no sky marked clubs here I'm afraid.

For all you Titleist fans, keep an eye out in early October for the first stories on the range and some GM video reviews

Ask Tappers for a look Jake.

Apparently MikeH left him a present on there after he used it :D

any chance GM will start to improve their video reviews? ie more in depth, actually using the club, honest 'opinions' over copying the marketing spiel? They are just short marketing snippets and I feel GM, as the number 1 mag, should be giving real opinions for their readers.

I do see the possibility that you might upset advertisers, but if thats the view then the reviews are actually worthless apart from just giving an early look at a product.

So that's a 'no' then...

On a serious note I can see cmac's issue.

It's impossible to do a driver shoot out as the manufactures always release asps different times, but where can you get serious reviews with an unbiased opinion / review. I suppose it's hard as golf equipment is such a personal thing, what suits one might not suit another for an example, but if you look at car mags as another platform the publishers rate cars fairly(ish) And the people buying refer to these as a guide.

Ok the manufactures are not going to be happy with a mag slating their product, but you have to argue surely an unbiased open opinion would drive r and d in order for manufactures to actually manufacture better equipment,

If for example I was buying a 915, I'd want a clear comparison against the model it was replacing, what had changed to make me interested, and what other clubs it was against, I'd love mags to actually say " this club is ok but the the club from A N OTHER is a lot better performing for the money "

Or, given that better performing is a personal thing, who might find it a good fit. For instance, for me, the SLDR is a terrible fit. Banjo and barn door spring to mind. But the big Bertha, wow, top driver. Could be the shaft, could be the head, or a combo of both.

I guess here is where reviews get difficult.
