Airport location was part of the lure of Costa Caleta.
Have a 2y/o with ants in her pants and wouldnt fancy a long transfer after a 4.5 hour flight!

I'm off to Lanzarote for 2 weeks, I'm not sure of the exact dates but its in August. I've been there 4 times so this will be my fifth (I have relatives out there, plus it is a very nice island)

way down South at Jandia, and what do you know, just a shortish Par 4 from the golf course, and HID has already said I should take my shoes - just in case!

Heading away in September but not sure where yet. Thinking of going back to Thailand. I know it is the end of the rainy season then but is dirt cheap to get there and food and beer is cheap as is the golf so think I can have a good time irrespective of weather. Anyone got any other suggestions of places to go in September ideally outside of the euro zone due to poor exchange rates. Looking for good food and peace and quiet

Recently got basck from Florida and Mexico (1 week in Florida doing all the Disney and universal stuff and 1 week in Mexico) and before the jokes start I havent grown a snout or trotters

KeefG, been to Ibiza a few times over the years with the missus, and family. Always had a great time, a beautiful island. I've never been for the clubbing aspect, and tend to stay awa from the main clubbing areas, but still had plenty to do see etc. I hope you have a great time over there.
I've been to Tunisia this year in March, it was OK, that's it. The place was very dirty, food was dodgy. Evryone trying to rip you off. Half the people were very, very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, the other half looked at you like you'd just insulted the prophet Mohahmed and so now they can cut your head off because you're a filthy blaspheming Westerner.
Got a week in Cornwall coming up in July, folowed by a long weekend in Prague with the missus in August.
But what I'm really waiting fo is a 46 strong party of us ging to Krakow, Poland for the biggest Stag-Do I've ever been on, I just cannot wait for November to come. It's goin got be another invasion of Poland, but we'll be far friendlier to the locals than the last people that invaded Poland.

Just come back from Tunisia,played bit of golf, scuba diving,etc, fab week,have weeks 6th and 13 th july off so playing golf South West England hopefully,then a week in Tenerife Oct/Nov to play a little bit more golf

Already done our 'big' holiday which was Side in Turkey at Easter fortnight, scorching weather and great vfm. Will be Aberdeen (incorporating the Boat of Garten Open) in July/August.
Those mentioning Fuerteventure/Corralejo, thoroughly recommend there, loads of good restaurants and only one disco in the resort that we were aware of. By far the best Canary. Didn't hear good stories about the golf, so fingers crossed those going to play.
We had planned Cyprus/Paphos, where we honeymooned all of 19 years ago, but it has become ridiculously over-priced so became a no-no at the moment.
For those who may not have seen these before, we now never book our holidays until we have reviewed our choices on these two sites, absolutely invaluable information.

Change of plan for my holiday now, latest plan is to fly out to San Francisco, stay there for a couple of days then hire a car and go out exploring for a week, maybe down to Nappa or even drive to Vegas for a day or. Never been on anything other than a planned and organised holiday so quite excited about the idea.

You enjoyed Side? I hated it when I went there and was stuck in the hole for 2 weeks.
GB72, I'd definitely go to Vegas if you can, it's a different world. I'm going for the second year in a row on the 13th and we're staying at the Wynn for two weeks
