Anyone ever changed Drive Angle of Attack?

Found out at the Callaway Kings of Distance day in 2014 that I had a very negative AoA and very high spin rate on my drives. Went for a lesson and found it was hugely improved by moving ball position forward and keeping weight behind ball as others above have mentioned. It's probably one of the easier things to change as it is mostly in the set up. Got myself a lower lofted and lower spinning driver to add in the mix and added 15-20 yards to my drives, won a board comp after an 18 year gap and achieved s/f handicap for first time. Go Me! :)

So it made a little bit of a difference then?!? lol- well done! Result!

Thanks.;)

With 8 par 4's at my club between 390 and 470 yards the bit of extra distance made a big difference in terms of being able to reach the greens or play a shorter club in, and getting a few more GIRs meant less reliance on my dodgy short game.

My usual PPs were pretty amazed at the extra yards I was getting, especially as one had recently been advised to "loft up", when I was going from a 10* Callaway to a 9* Mizuno.

Unfortunately I couldn't quite match it last year and crept up to 9.5 (if only I hadn't played that away qualifier in the pouring rain on the August bank Holiday, I'd still be a s/f handicapper :D).
