Help. A bit of advice needed. Will hold nothing against anyone who replys.

I bought my ground floor apartment aroung 10 yrs ago. It has a private garden, plus I do not need to enter the main body of the block to enter my apt.

When I bought it in the ground rent lease it had a no pets clause. I told them I had a dog, That is why I picked the apt I did and as that was the case I would be looking to buy somewhere else. I was told by the solicitors "dont worry about it its in all leases and to take no notice of it"

So I went ahead with buying it.

Now after 10yrs. someone from the managment company is trying to make me get rid of them. even threatening court action (we pay a service charge to the management company for them to manage the block.)

What I need to know is how do I stand from the legal side?

Thank you in advance for any help.

If it's in the lease I think you've got a problem, have you contacted the solicitor ? I'm guessing they'll deny saying what they did, don;t suppose they out it in writing did they ? Can't see how it would get you out of the lease situation but you might have some form of recourse angainst the solicitor if you can prove what they said
