Any ideas for indoor swing practice?

Hello.
I have a decent sized finished basement with 9 ft ceilings. I don't want a whole simulation but I want to get a small hitting mat with.... Something to hit into.
Would like a thick curtain work? Or some kind of netting?
Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Archery netting is commonly used. Would recommend paying extra for a decent mat to hit from to minimise a chance of tendinitis.
