Got my venerable Dunlop Systemdek III connected up to my even more venerable Rotel RX402 Receiver. Speakers are a new - a couple of years old Dali Zensor 1s.
I'm a little concerned about my dear old Rotel. Lots of lights out (which I could 'easily' replace if I could find the bulbs); radio buttons for power and speakers on/off feeling a bit sticky and ready to go; input selector knob every so slightly wobbly and also on way out I fear.
I could get this all sorted out - but what else has gone or is about to go in the internal gubbins that generate the signal that drives the speakers? Do I ditch it and get a new amp? I'd only really only looking budget land (up to say £200). Is it best to stick with my old amp for 'compatibility' reasons with my turntable - it was budget back in the day - though has always had good write-ups - or has technology moved on so much that a new amp will really make a difference sound-wise.
