I think for a lot of golfers, and yes I'm being generalistic, stiff shafts will hamper even fast swing speeds and that many would be better off playing regular (R300 etc) shafts. I have a very quick swing (about 105mph when tested at AG in Slough) but my swing itself isn't particularly good at converting that speed and so I'm fairly short anyway. I could go downthe road of getting amore textbook swing to stop all that latenet energy being wasted but have found that I'm getting better results with regular graphites than I have with any set since my R7 irons.

My advice would be to at least try some regular shafts and compare the two. If you are swinging well and witha quick speed and the regular is too whippy for you then stick with the S300's

When I went to Titleist the club pro booked it for me and I bought the clubs through him.

I can't speak for Ping, but they don't sell from the Titleist fitting centre. You can order while you're there if your pro has signed a form to say he's happy for his account to be billed, but they don't try to sell you anything, just sort out what suits you.

My point is that you could go and no pressure would be on to buy anything.
Titleist charge £25, which I got back off the cost of the clubs, but it's not a lot to pay to find out what's right for you if you're looking to buy something that you want to last a while.

I think Doug MacClelland at Silvermere off the M25/M3 charge the same for a session with their fitter on a launch monitor. Money well spent.
