Another Annual Review Question

I have just completed our AR ( two weeks ago )
One member has highlighted that he only played a handful of comps due to personal reasons so kept his HC active

He was given a low HC which he thought was quite low anyway but currently he can't even get near 25 points let alone 36

He has asked if its possible to have his HC reviewed and adjusted if possible

So the question is - am I able to carry out the review on him after an AR and adjust the HC if it's the right thing ?

I would say that the review process is all about doing the right thing and that as you're still within the window for performing it then you'd be perfectly within your rights to consider him. Other than that you should treat him exactly as you would any other member who'd been suggested for a closer look even if not appearing on the standard annual review report.

Sorry yes - when I say I - it's meaning the HC committee

As long as the committee comes to a decision based on facts and not sentiment, I see nothing wrong with reviewing his situation.

When I said yes, I meant that the review may be done. Any adjustment should be rigourously tested

I've always found that these are the most difficult once for us as a handicap committee to deal with as you don't have much evidence to go on. I presume if you are all happy that his scores are never going to improve off his current handicap then it's a fair one however how long after the review should you stop reviewing individuals.

We have our handicap seminar with CONGU folks in late February, will be an interesting one to throw at them.
