Annual subs up again this year

Its been crossing my mind as well mate. The only reason I don't is the fact that I have to pick the kids up at 15:15. The extra 20 minutes travel time each way would make a huge difference. I'll have to wait until they can both walk home, or move...

Ours is going up by about £25, which wouldn't be too bad if it hadn't been shut about 30-40 times already this year. I had hoped that they would realize that people are unhappy and keep it the same, but they do seem to live in a little bubble of their own...

To be fair it's not a bad course and nearly always in decent nick, though the weather hasn't helped this year.

A £58 increase is about 6% but I don't think it's worthy of that type of increase when they've just wasted £30k on a new par 3 hole that is a load of rubbish in all honesty.

I might just join a muni for handicap purposes and play in opens most weeks instead.

I got mine through the post yesterday and ours have gone up £58 to £958 and to be honest I'm thinking about jibbing it and paying that bit extra at a better links track.

The only problem is paying a joining fee aswell which I'm not too keen about.

I hear you brother, it may be another year or two off for me though.

Quite the opposite for me on this topic, My course has dropped the fees for next year from £670 to £550. Think this is done to retain members and attract more new members. Also heard through to the vine that they got some funds through from the sale of the land that the old club house used to stand on. Not sure if its true but not that bothered. I'll be singed up for another year :-)
