Annual Subs Increase.

Ours are £1320 plus £50 bar levy. Basic is up about 3%. Paying it monthly by direct debit, means I don't really notice when subs are due.

You are £120 pound cheaper than us! I guess that's what comes with us being in Surrey and you being 10miles away in Hants ;)

From memory subs up 3.2% so £700 but as I pay DD the subs are £770 which IMO is a rip off. I no in theory by paying DD if I stop playing I could cancel the DD but as I've been a member since I was 9 now 40 I'm not likely to stop playing and paying

I noticed that. Bordon is not quite as posh as Farnham.;)

I used to work at RAF Oakhanger

Didn't play golf at that stage ( 91-96 )

Had the odd game at Worldham ? And Petersfield

Some nice courses in the area - Liphook , Army Golf Club , Old Thorns

Not got mine yet , 1st Jan , about £1400 I expect , Great course Parkstone and always in good condition , worth every penny ...................................EYG

If you are ever in the area again, let me know and we can get a game. Blackmoor is a nice course, and well worth a game. Liphook Hankley Common and Hindhead are cracking courses, all within 10 miles.

Played Parkstone two years ago, and it was in the best condition I have ever seen it. First played there in the early 70's, when I was allowed to play through by Max Bygraves.;) We have a reciprocal with Ferndown which is also a lovely course.

Our fees generally have gone up by around 2-3% a year, have done for the last 5 years and looking over the business plan & projections for the next 5/10 years it seems that they will continue to be increased by this amount for the foreseeable future.

Most definatley and the same applies to yourself

Heard a lot of good things about Blackmoor

We went up quite a lot last year but i suspect that had a lot to do with the work and consultancy required to repair the greens after the state the last course manager left them in. We also lost a lot of members because of the greens. As Homer says, we seem to have attracted a lot of new members this year so hopefully come March they won't budge too much this year.

On a slightly separate note, does anyone know why clubs ask for subs during arguably the worst golfing months? Surely a better time to ask for subs would be during the summer when people can play more and the courses are in their best condition, especially if they are increasing them. You would think, and I'm no expert, that people would be more willing to part with their cash when they can play more?
