Annual golf ball stock taking

Off the top of my head because it's too cold to go out to the car to check, I've got the 6 'test' balls from Callaway, 6 proV1's and a couple of Srixon Soft Feel.

Something like ...

2 dozen prov1
3 dozen z-stars
8 prov1x
18 z-urs
6 bridgestone b330s
6 new callys --still waiting for trial
6 nxt tours
1 penfold x-out ;)

I have a dozen Pro V1s and a dozen Z-stars in stock, other than what's in my bag.

I've read a lot about Callaway prototype / 6 callaway freebies in this post, and others. In my absence from the forum was there something I missed out on? Not particularly worried (not a great fan of Callaway balls!) just interested.

Yep
200 forummers now have (or have had!) 3 each of Cally's new i balls to test and report back on. Its the new one that Ernie's raving on about since shooting a 63 backend of last season. Same principle as the rest of the premium ball market - 1 is the standard Tour ball and the other is a higher swing speed one.
The Tour i(s) is supposed to counter the new groove rule - that is be very soft so the Pro can get similar spin and stop from shallower gooves.
I've only tried one so far - can't remember which it was so long ago but it felt similar to the equivalent Titleist or Srixon.

Not sure missed out is the word. There was an offer from Cally, register to their web site, and the first 200 got 6 free balls. Obviously I missed out, but then I need them like a hole in the head. As do many on here. I would get around to testing them some time just before they are declared obsolete.

Still waiting to use mine as there seems little point trying to fire them in to temps or frozen main greens. Might as well wait for the course to be fully open before trying them out and adding them to the lost ball count

Spoke to my mate Paul on Sunday who is a member at Bearwood Lakes. He was saying that he played that day, course was completely frozen, and when he got to the 5th (par 5 with a lake behind the green) there must have been at least 50 brand new balls sitting on the ice

from memory, never that good, I have

2 dozen Pro-V1
3 dozen DX2 + some unused sleeves
1 dozen AD333

it will amaze bob, but I'm actually in profit on balls over the last few rounds!
