I've just sold some psp games on ebay and the guy paid quick so i left him +++ feedback. I sent him a message saying i'd post the item tomorrow as it's bank holiday today and he replied "thanks BUT REMEMBER TO LEAVE FEEDBACK." - all in caps... So i replied to him and said "no worries, but please stop shouting ;o)" to which he replied "DONT BE SO RUDE OR NEG FEEDBACK WILL BE LEFT."

ha ha ha.... what a over-serious tightly wound idiot!

do you reckon, with the mood, that he'd be good at golf?

:)

I know where you're coming from.

I have only one -ve feedback in over 800 ratings so doing quite well.

However this one guy said he felt like he'd been "mugged and robbed" to use his exact words because the YSL shirt I'd described as cream he insisted was yellow. It sold for less than £4!
I probably would have given him a refund but in his first contact he said he couldn't afford to send it back - all £2.20 postage cost! Wanted me to wire him the postage cost first! That got my goat, seemed like he wanted the item for free so I said no he'd have to send it back and then I'd refund him. He left -ve feedback and said I was rude - what me rude! ;)
Called up Ebay as I thought he was being unreasonable but the people there said chill everyone gets a -ve feedback at some point. They dont care as long as they get their commission.

Another time I asked a guy who was selling Titleist 790mb's if he could put up a pic of the club faces, he was only showing backs of heads (which always look good) -what's the use of seeing the backs, you dont hit then ball with the backs. I told him as much.

I got dogs abuse for my question - guy went absolutely bananas saying how he used to be a +4 player blah blah and now he had cancer and basically how dare I ask such a question. He altered his item description slagging me off until I said don't do that or else! He eventually calmed down but jeez louise that one scared me!

There are some strange folks on ebay thats for sure.

It is worth a negative just to have the chance to meet such loverly people, Ebay should have some sort of sanity test before you get your login to keep these crazies away, AND BY THE WAY THE SHIRT WAS YELLOW!!!!.

sorry

One thing that really gets my goat about ebay is that sellers will never leave feedback untill the buyer has.

If I win an Item, I pay for it within minutes of winning. Why then does the seller wait for me to receive the item and leave feedback before posting A+++ fast payment wiill deal again.

Surely there should be a rule that states the seller must leave feedback after payment is made and only then can the buyer leave feedback after the item has been received a few days later.

A couple of times I have been less than happy with a product but have known that a negative feedback would result in the same for me. Very unfair in my eyes!

This rule has changed. You can leave -ve feedback as a buyer but the seller cannot leave a -ve in return. This is much improved as it was how you describe it until about a year ago when this aspect was changed.

One thing that really gets my goat about ebay is that sellers will never leave feedback untill the buyer has.
What gets my goat even more is people who bump the price of their own item to get as much as they can for it. Has happened to me a few times.

One time I bid for something and was winning until seconds before the end. I got an "Outbid" email, then straight away an "Ended" email, then straight after that a "Second Chance Offer". Person was using an Auto-Bidder to bump up the price of the item, then an Auto-Second-Chance-Offer system. I made a point of never accepting such an offer. Git!

Another time I was bidding on some golf clubs, and "person A" was bidding against me. Near the end, when I'd stopped bidding, "person A" emailed me to say that there were other itmes included in the auction. I thought it was odd that the other bidder was emailing me. Checked "person A's" auctions and saw he was selling lots of similar things, and lived in the same area. Was clearly the original seller, using a second account, and contacting me by mistake from the wrong account. Told him his error and explained that Shill Bidding isn't allowed on eBay, and never heard anything back from him. Another git!!

This doesn't happen anymore either. You cannot see other bidders usernames now, just bidder 1, bidder 2 etc and you can't contact them. It did used to happen, I have contacted others myself when I thought they were being ripped off i.e. a guy was bidding £40+ for a wedge that was available brand new from an online golf shop for a good bit less - my Robin Hood side!

I am glad that ebay has changed the neg feedback rule, I got left a neg feedback even though I paid straight away, it was because I left the seller a neg for sending me a broken graphics card and not wanting to give me a refund, his excuse was he had one the same in his other PC and that worked fine. what a ***

I sold a G10 4 wood on e-bay a while back and the guy who won the auction wouldn't pay. Seems he'd just been bought one for his birthday by Mummy and Daddy and therefore didn't need it. I replied that it wasn't my problem and would you please pay up. then his Dad got involved and continued the story.
So I left feedback something along the lines of - Bid for the item, won the auction but now won't pay. make your own mind up. Somehow he managed to edit feedback he'd already left and said that there had been a mistake and that I had no communication skills!!
If he'd been in reach the only communication would have been between his face and my fist! Good news is I relisted the club and got a tenner more than first time around!!

never got into this whole feedback idea, it's like a waiter asking for a tip.

I bought an item off Amazon the other day, sold through an online outfit, and within 24 hours had a direct email from them asking for positive feedback.

the whole thing seems stupid to me. A seller who advertises 'next day delivery' and does it is only doing as advertised - nothing more so why would you give 5 stars (or whatever)? Where's the special performance that has earned it?

Tbh there are not many bargains on EBay as there was when it first started.

I find a lot of golf stuff on there from online shop sales for example the Ashworth leather belt at Online golf, reduced from £25 to £5 and within days sold out and then people trying to knock them out on EBay for between £10-£15 each lol.

I always check online stores before EBay and then check Golfbidders prices aswell.
