not a bad start for me, when i left the club css was 71, i returned net 68 so should be reduced 0.9 to 16.9
Monthly stableford today. 33 points not swinging to well. Signs that the underlying game is solid. Sand save and the chipping was more solid. The ball striking left a little to be desired

Why don't they adjust HC for all comps?
I was hoping to play a lot of comps, all of which I expected to adjust hc! Up Or down!

First major of the year tomorrow. Foursomes medal so should be entertaining.

Going to take me a few rounds to get used to the new layout, after the best drive of the day down the par 5 4th, I stuck my 2nd shot straight OOB, then found the bunker with my penalty stroke, and....well it went down quicker than the Titanic from then....

It's seems quite strange to me that there seem to be so many on here playing courses that are not suitable for qualifiers most of the year round. We play at least 1 Q during the month if the condition of the course allows.

False start for me.. swapped practice on Friday for a scratch match against my pal who's playing off 2, he conceded on the 15 th green 3 down...!! Today's medal cancelled due to fog gutted!!

Had a 0.1 on Friday, brought a new wedge and used every time I could on the front 9. To say my 12 points was a poor is to say the least.
Stood on the tenth tee and said I was going to get 21 points on the back 9 to have a chance off buffering. Stood on the 18th par would be good enough for 21 points and a chance of that buffer. Unfortunately missed par putt but had 20 points on the back 9. Signs are good for the new season.

Doh - just missed buffer and got a 0.1 back from 16.4 to 16.5 so now off 17 again.
After playing the first two holes it looked a lot worse. for the last 5 or more rounds I have gone out par par - started quad / quad !!!!
8 on the first after getting a perfect drive in, scabby 2nd shot then 2 duffed chips and lots of putts then OOB on the par 3 2nd hole off the tee (cant recall last time I did that on that hole as its a fair old carry right to get there). 2nd tee shot the adrenalin kicked in and I carried the green by 50 yards !!
Rest of the round was fairly tidy and I pulled a couple of shots back so am reasonable happy but talk about a bad start to the season!

Played first medal yesterday afternoon, when the wind got up and a couple of showers, so reasonably happy with a 83/ 73 start. Five 3 putts, two from 2ft,with the greens being so so. Got in the top 16 to qualify, which was the aim. Better luck next time.

1st medal today. Shot 1 under the sss in windy conditions and left quite a few shots out there. Won't know the css till Tuesday
