Two of my regular (senior) playing partners use anchored putting styles, one a broom handle and the other a belly putter. Just wondering what those on here who use anchored putting styles intend to do after January next year, when they are banned?

Quite a few manufacturers are going down the counterbalanced route as an alternative to anchoring.

Did peoples hear Monty banging on about this during the USPGA? He was over the moon that they are being banned! I'm sure his fiercest competitor on the Seniors tour would not quiet agree hey Mr Langer!

I would be happy to teach Bernhardt the Claw Grip putting style, which cured my putting problems!

What will they do? Nothing.

They can still use the broom handle and belly length putters. Just not anchored against the body

But isn't the whole point of these putters that you can anchor them against some part of your body to act as a fixed pivot point? Otherwise they will be just as potentially wobbly as a normal putter!

you can anchor any club you have to any part of your body, dont mean its a good idea or will work.

the putters wont be banned so no real issue is there
