Following on from the bad behaviour post the other week, what is it with Americans? Why are the few bad ones able taint the whole barrel.

Playing at Nairn last night with a friend. The course was quite busy quite a few tours out all with caddies.

Anyway we caught up with a fourball all Americans hit onto the green at the 4th, the tee for the 5th is at the back of the green so we let them tee off. There is a path down the side of the sea wall up to the next fairway. So two of this group walk right down the middle of the green right down both mine and my playing partners line of putt.

Didn’t say anything just waltzed straight though.

Get to the tee for 6th and they are still teeing off and allow us to play though well the two that used the path did the other two were not overly keen and didn’t even answer when we asked them if they were enjoying themselves.

I was on the green and Gordy in the back left hand bunker he’s just about to hit his shot when one of the caddies way right shouts and the ball flies past me and into the bunker Gordy’s in a smacks into the back edge.

The caddie comes up and apologises and the other couple of guys and the caddies, but not the bloke who hit it just walked up to his ball, not a word.

we got though the other 4 groups no problem, and the rest were very polite,

Personally I think most yanks are fine, some may be a little loud, but as in any society, there are the odd idiots who give them all a bad name.

Fragger

Personally, I´ve found the worst golfers to play behind are the Japanese and South Koreans. They won´t let you through and fart around as if if they were pros. The Korean ladies throw grass in the air to gauge the wind but never hit it higher than 3 feet. Grrrr!!!!

I agree with shanker. Leatherhead golf club use to be like Little Tokyo every weekend with Japanese and Koreans all with the latest gear. The first there is a par 5, not too difficult and I've waited fifteen minutes on the tee before for a four ball to finally get out of range. The second is a par 3 and so an ideal call through opportunity but not a chance. In the end after nearly an hour to play 3 1/2 holes we basically holed out and told then pretty bluntly we were playing through
