Does anyone have experience with AG for Driver fitting? Or is there a better alternative? Thanks.
Yeah that’s what I was worried about.I would only use an AG fitting if I just wanted to hit lots of different clubs for free and make my own mind up. But I wouldn't trust their recommendations as far as I could throw them. Most of their fittings seem to be done by golf salesmen rather than proper fitters.
As far as I recall, AG fittings are completely free, even if you don't buy. But as LT says, the detail is lower as they won't have a vast array of shafts. So it's just for you to try as many different stock clubs as you can really.Yeah that’s what I was worried about.
Is that an option to just try different clubs with them? Ie, is the “free fitting” only applied when you purchase something?
I’m not looking for anything fancy in all honesty. And with my level, I think AG may be just fine.AG are a big organisation, some shops may be good, some may be bad. I doubt many will do fitting in the truest sense, they will just let you try different clubs in the standard set up. If this suits you, they will be fine. If you want to try every combination of head and Carlos fandango shaft, try a proper fitter - but expect to pay.
