Aye i've heard that before right enough but it's the only course close enough that I could get a regular round in.
I enquired about joining last season. Think they still have a stupid joining fee.
I also don't think drainage is the problem, it's the fact that the Clyde floods it more often than not in winter. My neighbours a member and said they lost 6 holes to flooding so were playing 12 holes for a few months.
Don't know what your travel arrangements are like but loads of courses round about within 20 minutes.
