Shifnal in sunny old Shropshire, yup I think they are

When our golf society visited Shifnal last year, she was earning money working at the golf club and served us. A very pleasant person to talk to and we have followed her through qualifying for the tour.

Lets hope she can continue the same way over the weekend. I have just watched the programme on Sky and she certainly putted well and she was very happy with her irons too.

Fine start to a pro career. Hope it continues. Would be good to see her close it out. Hope the nerves don't get in the way

The last pair had a torrid day - both hed 77s!

Not entirely unexpected from Peters (shame though) but would have expected Charley Hull to have performed better! They can't blame th greens though - apparently the smoothest tested!

Alex had a bad start but was looking really good until the 14th where I think she had to take an unplayable and doubled then was unlucky on 18 just catching the ridge out of the bunker.
Charley seemed to take some strange choices of shots .
