I fancy upgrading my Woods

My ball striking with has improved over the last 6 months

and want to upgrade to a lower flight 3w

my current woods Callaway Xhot have served me very well over the last 2years.

ive just put an Adams Tight lies 4hybrid in the bag and im loving it so i either

want to drop the 5 W and put in another Hybrid

and get a new 3W

or replace both woods

has anybody had a go on the Aeroburner woods

have one in the bag

or any thoughts would be considered

Ive had a hit of one of these and the shaft is quite long and I thought it would be quite hard to control. Catch one out of the middle and it goes like the clappers...

What he said. 'Crazy golf' shaft for distance. One in every 100 you'll hit one straight.

The Titleist 915's are long and forgiving, with a shaft you can see the club on the othe end with.

I think there's quarter of an inch between the 915 and aeroburner shaft. I very much doubt anybody would find that difference easy to feel :)

I've hit a few of the current offerings and the Callaway's for me are the stand out, also the current Mizuno is very nice, wasn't fussed at all with TM and I used to be a fan

I pretty sure my xhot has a longer shaft in it and im putting that down the middle

I have the 3w HL which is 16.5°. I'm fairly consistent straight and long with it off the tee. Not so consistent off the deck but I very rarely use it from the fairway at our place as there's not much use for it.

Thanks for that mate im very tempted by the HL

will be giving it a hit

I actually compared the Aeroburner 3w and R15 3W yesterday as I was after a new 3 wood. The Aeroburner was lovely to hit, but the R15 seemed to go a touch further (Only on a range, no trackman / flightscope or anything) and was a bit heavier in the hand too.

They were both ex-demo and I got a really good price on the R15 in the end. However I was very tempted with the Aeroburner too... the fact they were almost the same price and the R15 has a "SLDR" and is adjustable in loft too meant I had no reason not to go for the R15!
