My advice is to invest in a decent driver but try before you buy. You probably won't find many long enough unless you go back down the C/F route somewhere but I'm sure you'll get a feel for what feels best for you. From there you should be able to get it lengthened pretty easily.
There are lots of decent buys. One I like is the Cleveland Hi-Bore XLS which has been superceded this year but was a good servant for me and should be available pretty cheaply online
