I gather once your driver is set up before you tee off you aren't allowed to adjust it while playing that's understood.

Yesterday I has a case of one of the bias weights on the undersole of the driver had worked lose and was just sliding up and down the weight track.

As it happens I didn't have my spanner with me and probably wouldn't have tried using it anyway - it was annoying but not game breaking.

Would I be allowed to fix the weight back though if I had the spanner? These are the weights on the R15 which go from fade to draw bias and there are two of them.

Thanks.

It would be ok to tighten the weight up as long as you knew the exact set up that it was on the first tee. You would be returning or repairing the club and not changing the playing caracterists of the club.

If its just tightening up a loose screw weight or the hosel has come loose then you're probably alright but what if its a sliding weight..? Could be tricky to put it back in exactly the same position......

You can fix the club so that is back to what it was on the first tee but you can not alter it during the round.

So putting a weight back or tightening a club is fine, but moving the weights from draw to fade or changing loft etc is not allowed.

Thanks guys, I will know for the future if it happens again.

Luckily I have them set now at one each end of the track so will be easy to put it back in the same place.

Must remember to put the wrench back in the bag though.
