Achieving the negative down swing plane

At the range last night, I tried some of the drills, that feel of momentary pause and dropping the hands really helps. But until you really commit to try and take the club across the ball to the right, I was still not getting it as well as I'd like, but it's certainly getting there now.

Going from a horrible slicer of the ball to being able to draw the ball on demand is very good, not easy though.

Go buy a cheap instruction video available on Brian Manzella website called "soft draw pattern". It is slice proof, fact.

Dropping the hands is a band aid and will lead to problems getting stuck long term. Professional players do not actively flatten the shaft with their hands, it's a result of initiating from the ground up, not the reverse.

Using the body with passive educated hands takes a certain level of skill and practice.

This is something I agree with.

I have worked good and hard over the past 18 months with my pro on proper rotation in the downswing.

IMHO, you shouldn't make a conscious effort to drop or pull your hands down in the down swing.

The arms should drop naturally as part of correct rotation, they don't play and active part.

As a drill or feeling yes, but not an active part.
