we play ours over 2 Sundays, this week and next. It rained pretty much the whole round, not too bad but the odd downpour had us taking shelter briefly.

Ended up with a 93 nett 72, tied = 3rd in the nett so may have a sniff next week. Played pretty well as the greens were a bit wet and the rough was an absolute joke. They have made the fairways even narrower and the 1st cut imho was far too long.

started double, single, single, double, then birdie on 5, par on 6 and had a 47 front 9. Back 9 went double, single, par, double, par, triple, single, single, double for a 46

Now it should really have been a sub 90 as I duffed a few chips and left a few putts short but thats golf I guess.

Considering only 1 player carded a nett under par round it shows how tough it played. Out in the 4th group next week (done in reverse gross order) so should be fun. Forecast the same by the looks... great :)

Ours was cancelled. Shame really, as I went round 7 over this afternoon, albeit just a all-day-swindle comp.

we had a couple of nr's beaten by the weather I think and a few no shows. The club is mostly seniors hence over 2 weeks, the old duffers can't handle 36 in a day :)

yes and no :)

less stress, better diet, cut down the cigs etc

Was informed to carry on playing golf as its good exercise so only need telling once ;)

cheers Homer, just annoyed on reflection as really should have been sub 90. Just going over a couple of duffed chips and pathetic putts in my head lol.

then again a chip in birdie and a couple of decent putts I guess it levels out overall.

I shall treat the remark about old duffers with the contempt it deserves. You've got to be happy though to have made buffer (unless CSS intervenes) in your first serious outing with your new handicap.
