Exactly. There are too many people here and also the ones who came round our club trying to get people to sign a petition who have no idea about the facts in this case at all.

This is no kind of troll or flame attempt, simply a honest comment. There is way too much of this "middle class so therefore innocent" attitude.

Take that idiot who hacked into the Pentagon computer and now is claiming he can't be extradited because he has Asbergers. And the fact his mother knows one of the print room staff at the Daily Mail gets him the totally undeserved publicity.

Or the kid who set up an illegal TV feed site, happily racked in advertising revenue knowing full well it was illegal and now claims he knew nothing about it.

No-one is extradited from the UK without due process and evidence being presented to a UK court. To believe anything else is both naive and wrong.

I think the big issue - certainly for me is the fact that no evidence was presented to a UK court before this extradition took place. This is what most right minded people in this country are concerned about with this extradition treaty. If the extradition was the other way then evidence would have to be presented to a US court.

Who DID MR TAPPIN APPROACH to START this series of events in motion ?
Who did Mr Tappin PURCHASE the batteries from ?

I will make two replys here if i may please mate ,
(1) MR Tapping was the shipping agent ..
(2) If you are sure the courts will sort anything either in america or UK , id place you in the minority .. Il include courts over here in that aswell .. just my thoughts tho

Not so sure. The home secretary handled the case herself, in private, making the decision totally dependent on her attitude. No courts, no judges, no trial by jury. Nothing.

I'd have the same sympathy for any British National, old, young, middle class, daily mail reading or whatever.

The whole point of this case is that the all mighty and powerfull Americans (whom we all have to play ball with for our National Security) do what they want, when they want and not even our own government seems to care enough to stand up for civil liberty.
